Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2019-20: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Smithy is now inviting the aspiring students to the Navodaya schools established all over the country to fill the seats with the talented students in 6th class. Now all the students who are interested in applying for these schools can do the process online.

Registrations will be closed by 15th September 2019.

About NVS / Navodaya Admission Test: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi has been established in accordance with the National Policy of Education, 1986 to enlighten education in rural India. To provide quality education, growth for the Indian children who are willing to be future torchbearers to Indian Civilization. It is under the rule that every District in India has to have a JNV school. So presently India comprises 661 Navodaya schools in all the 29 states and 7 Union Territories. Of these schools, only 638 are in functioning now. In order to take the students into these schools, Navodaya invites students to take admission through a competitive entrance test called JNVST for the admission into 6th class. Based on the states, students need to take the exam in either phase 1 or phase 2. Based on the performance in the exam, students will be selected and taken into the schools in the 6th class.

Important dates:

For the admissions in JNV schools for the academic year 2019-20, candidates need to know the process of application and different events that are to be considered before getting selected to the merit list. Right from applying for the exam to getting the result of the JNVST exam, few dates are mentioned by NVS authorities. So students and parents need to be aware of these dates.

Applications and registrations are now open and the last of registration towards JNVST is 15th September 2019. The phase 1 exam is in January 2020 and Phase 2 exam is in April 2020.

The results for the same will be provided in May 2020.

How to Apply Online:

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi will only agree to consider the students to take part in the exam if the online applications are filled incorrectly. Applications are available online and can perform the registrations until 15th September 2019.

Parents need to be aware of the whole process of applying. Documents to be kept ready scanned before applying are

  2. Student’s signature
  3. Parent’s signature
  4. Student’s 5th Class Certificate.

Steps to Apply Online

  • Register here by entering the details of a student like a Name, State, District, Mandal, Last school studied
  • Enter the Mobile Number and click on Submit
  • You will receive the application number and password (password is DOB)
  • Enter the Login details and captcha
  • Go to the Registration phase 2 window and enter the basic personal details of students
  • Upload the documents asked using Upload options
  • Submit these details and click on Download Application Form for further use

JNVST Admit Card & Exam Centers

For the applicants who have applied for the JNVST 2020-21 admission test, the admit card will be provided for both phase 1 and phase 2 exams. NVS Authorities will take the responsibility to provide them online through which the candidates will be able to download and take a print out.

For the phase 1 exam, NVS will release the hall tickets from 1st December 2019 and for the Phase 2 exam, this will be available from 1st March 2020. Parents/ Students can use the same application credentials to download this admit card. Keep this document safe as without this admit card students will not be allowed to take the test. Students can know the exam center by checking the hall ticket. No change of exam center will be done once the hall ticket is provided.

Exam Pattern:

For the admission into 6th class, Navodaya authorities will not expect much. Students must be good at analytical, reasoning and maths. The exam will start by 11:30 AM in the morning and end by 01:30 PM in the afternoon. So exam duration will be 2 Hours, in which candidates have to write an exam of 100 marks with 80 questions.

The subjects included in the written test are like Mental Ability Test, Language, Test, and Arithmetic Test. Languages included in the Language test are like Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, English, Garo, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Khasi, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Mizo, Oriya, Punjabi, Sindhi (Arabic), Sindhi (Devnagri), Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and Nepali. These are 21 recognized languages by Central Government

JNVST 6th class Results 2019-20 Dates

Soon after the completion of the Navodaya admission test in different phases, Answer booklets will be evaluated and the scores of the candidates will be entered online.

For the first phase of the exam, JNVST will release the results by March 2020 and for the phase 2 exam, Navodaya results will be available at the official site by May 2020. The result will be displayed in the Official site, District Education Offices, District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Regional office of the NVS region.
